CBDa is what there is before there is CBD. The “a” stands for “acid”, CBD starts out acidic (thus, THCa) but converts to CBD during things such as heating (smoking/vaporising, for example). Studies on CBDa are currently limited, with far more attention being paid to the resulting CBD cannabinoid but it is thought by some that CBD extracts rich in CBDa are more useful for particular desired effects.
